Day 1 of E3 has already come and gone, and with it came a great opening lineup to kick the conference into gear. Electronic Arts (EA Play) opened the show Saturday morning with a strong lineup, including a mix of never-before-seen teasers, and more information on projects that have already caught audiences attention. The full lineup includes:



Anthem takes place on an unknown planet where the gods suddenly leave. Nobody knows where they went, nor does anyone know why. You serve as a “Freelancer” in a world where humanity struggles to survive during the world’s genesis, and you must work to keep the chaos of the world in humanity’s favor.

Releasing February 22nd, 2019 on PS4 Xbox One, and PC.


Battlefield V

EA announced the latest entry in the Battlefield series will include a Battle Royale mode, though little detail is known about how this will play out mechanically. EA did confirm there would also be the standard squad-based battlest the series is known for, though the company is clearly keeping information close to its chest at this time.

Battlefield V is releasing worldwide later this year on October 19th, 2018.


Command & Conquer Rivals

In the midst of the their event, EA showcased their surprise announcement for Command & Conquer: Rivals, a competitive Real-Time Strategy game for Mobile. Not much is known outside of the gameplay seen in the trailer, but it appears to appeal to a larger crowd with a more streamlined approach to the RTS genre.

No release date was announced, but users can pre-register for the game by going to either Android’s Google Play store, or the game’s website for iOS.



This year’s entry of FIFA was revealed during EA’s conference, containing everything you’ve come to expect from the series: improved graphics, 60fps, single and multiplayer options. FIFA 19 also contains a campaign mode where players will once again enter the role of FIFA 18’s Alex Hunter to become a champion.

FIFA 19 releases September 28th, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.


Madden NFL 19

Get ready for football with the latest entry in Madden’s NFL series. Madden NFL 19 contains all the features you’ve come to expect from the series, with an updated roster along with the addition of Real Player Motion.

Madden NFL 19 releases everywhere August 10th, 2018 across PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.


NBA Live 19

NBA Live 19’s reveal trailer hit the show floor during EA’s event. The trailer emphasizes the ability to create your own character. In addition, it appears players will get to build their own squad to vie for Global Dominance.

NBA Live 19 releases everywhere September 7th, 2018, though no platforms are announced at this time.


Star Wars Battlefront 2 DLC

EA and DICE announced their ongoing plans to support Star Wars Battlefront 2 as we move into the game’s second year. Some of these updates include:

  • An updated squad system to make it easier to play with your friends
  • A new starfighter mode focused around dog fighting with your hero ships
  • A new mode seeing players race to capture command posts, while taking out capital ships.
  • A new focus on the Clone Wars era of the Star Wars universe, bringing on new characters such as General Grievous, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker.


Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order (Respawn Entertainment)

During an extremely brief segment during EA Play’s live E3 event, one of of Respawn’s spokespersons revealed the company is currently working on a new Star Wars project titled, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. No details have been announced at this time, but we hope to hear more about it later in the show.

The game has no systems announced at this time, but will release holiday 2019.


Sea of Solitude

In one of the most beautifully haunting displays, Electronic Arts revealed their latest single-player game, Sea of Solitutde. Not much is known about the game, but the basic premise revolves around the idea that monsters stem from humans who get too lonely. Follow Kay, a human who fell to loneliness, as she explores the world to find the key to change her back.

Sea of Solitude currently has no systems announced, and is coming early 2019.


Unravel 2

The sequel to EA’s Unravel was revealed during the live event, showcasing the power of friendship through local co-op as two Yarnys travel the world in chase for the spark of adventure.

Surprisingly, in a turn of events, Unravel 2 actually released the day of the event and can be found on PS4, Xbox One, and PC right now.


Origin Access Premier

EA announced a new tier for their PC gaming membership, allowing subscribers to gain access to new games like the ones announced above before launch, as well as access to over 100 other PC titles on Origin. In addition to instant access, subscribers can also save 10% on other Origin digital purchases, such as extra game content like DLCs.

Origin Access premier arrives on PC this summer.
