Playtonic Games, the ex-Rare developers who successfully Kickstarted Yooka-Laylee, the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, announced in a blog post that progress on the remaining stretch goals are coming along nicely.
According to the developers, the remaining stretch goals include “… the dev commentary series, additinoal content and the ‘64-Bit’ tonic, which we’re working on right now. No further information on the new feature releases have been provided at this time.
Before closing out the update, Playtonic also announced that Yooka-Laylee is also currently “…25% off on the Nintendo eShop until July 13!” If you’re looking to pick this up, the sale is currently running on both UK and US stores.
I backed the game, looking forward to Banjo-Kazooie reboot-of-sorts, and enjoyed the bit I played of it thus far. Unfortunately, I don’t think this will be enough to jump back into the game, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts! What do you think of the latest update? Have you played much Yooka-Laylee, and is this enough to bring you back to it? Let us know in the comments below!
