In preparation for the latest expansion in the popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, Blizzard updated their policy to no longer require subscribers to purchase the game. As of now, players are able to experience WoW through its six major expansions with just the standard subscription fee.

Of course, the upcoming Battle of Azeroth expansion will be excluded from the subscription. The latest expansion will need to be purchased for $49.99 when it launches on August 14th. For more about the latest expansion, check out the trailer below:


Are you an avid WoW player? I’ve always been turned off by the cost of entry, and have never been one to play a game with a monthly subscription.
