The Nintendo Switch never ceases to surprise us. For the first time in 20 years, Nintendo will be receiving a Blizzard game on their console. Later this year, Diablo 3 will be released on the Switch, though no date has been announced at this time.
One aspect many players want to know is how smooth this game will translate over to system. Considering it has already been released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, we know the controls are fluid enough, but how will the game’s performance handle in the portable system? According to VG247, Diablo 3 is expected to hit 60fps regardless of whether it’s docked or in handheld mode. The game will also jump from it’s handheld 720p resolution up to 960p when docked for TV play, which will be perfect for your couch co-op sessions.
This is an exciting time to be a Switch owner, and we look forward to seeing what other surprises come our way by the end of the year. What do you think of this announcement? Have you played Diablo 3 yet? If not, would this be the turning point to get you into the series? Let us know in the comments below!
