For those like myself who grew up with the Spyro series, you’ve most likely been looking forward to experiencing these worlds once again with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy originally scheduled for a September release date. Well, Activision recently announced they are actually pushing the launch back to November.

For those excited for the game, continue to expect a wonderful reimagining of the world by developers Toys for Bob, a great remastered soundtrack based on the original from composer Stewart Copeland, and voice acting for Spyro performed by Tom Kenny.

To tide us over with the delay, Activision showed off the game at Gamescon 2018, and released the batch of screenshots below for our viewing pleasure. The game will release November 13th across Playstation 4 and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version is rumored, but nothing is confirmed at this time.

So what do you think of the delay? I’m for it if it means a bit more polish getting added in the home stretch, but let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

    • Goodness, you’re right! There are so many great games right now, I’m actually grateful for this delay so it can come at a less hectic time and get the attention it deserves.
