Just in time for last week’s Gamescom event, Electronic Soul Games revealed their latest game, titled Genesis. The game trailer, short gameplay footage, and other art assets were kept to attendees of the event, though the developers provided a bit of information for us in the meantime.

Genesis will be familiar to those who enjoy the MOBA genre of games. Tasked with the goal to destroy the enemy base, players will be placed in the future choosing from a variety of sci-fi characters to compete versus another team of players. However, that’s where the similarities end.

To build upon the MOBA foundation and set their game apart, Electronic Soul Games shared they will be “…adding new rules and more gameplay modes, including characters storyline, duels, weapons enchantment” all of which will be created in 3D using Unreal 4 engine to “allow for much greater detailed worlds and characters design, item customization and upgrades, destructible environment and dynamic weather.” The game is set for release on Playstation 4 in early 2019.

As someone who enjoys dabbling in MOBA’s on occasion, I’ll probably play a round or two depending on how it turns out. What do you think of Electronic Soul Games’ latest announcement? Will you be giving it a try? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
