In a surprise announcement during the latest Direct, viewers were surprised to discover the extremely popular Free-To-Play game Warframe is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch on November 20th.

The game is an online free-to-play game following Tenno, warriors of guns and blades. The Old War killed off many of these, with the remaining left drifting among the ruins. However, they have been called back once more, and need to enter their Warframe armor once more. Players are tasked with following a call that echoes throughout the solar system, battling the Grineer, with their vast armies, along the way.

Those who are not looking to sign up immediately for the Switch Online Service will be happy to know the service is not required to play Warframe online.

The Nintendo Switch continues to grow a fantastic catalogue of games, and the addition of Warframe is no different. Will you be downloading this when it launches on the Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments below!
