During the Nintendo Direct  earlier this week, Nintendo showcased many surprises for viewers. One of the standout ones for us on The Gaming Chicken was the reveal of Civilization VI, a port of the critically-acclaimed PC game.

Civ VI is a single-player game where players work to build up their civilizations as the world around them does the same. Choose to be diplomatic or aggressive towards rival nations, and become the number one civilization in the world. Players will grow their civilization over the course of many years, while interacting with icons from throughout history.

One welcome addition to the Switch port is the inclusion of a LAN multiplayer mode for up to four players, though not much is known about the new mode at this time. Players everywhere will be able to experience the game for themselves when it launches for Switch on November 16, 2018

What do you think of the latest reveal? I’ve always passively followed this series since Civ IV, but haven’t given it a try, so this may be a good reason to jump in. Will you be picking this up? Let us know in the comments below!
