The sequel to the hit arcade basketball game, NBA 2K Playgrounds, is hitting the streets later this Fall, and last week’s Nintendo Direct officially revealed it will be dribbling to Switch.

NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 brings the series to the next level with a greater list of current and retired NBA players, along with many improved features and quality of life. Some of the new features include:

  • Updated and improved online matchmaking with dedicated servers
  • New court playgrounds
  • Ability to create custom matches
  • Four-player online matches
  • Three Point Contests

NBA2K Playgrounds 2 was delayed just before it’s original scheduled launch date back in May, and will hit the court later this fall across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

As someone who had a blast with NBA Jam back in the day, I was a huge fan of the original NBA2K Playgrounds, so it’s great to see it received enough attention for a second one. Have you given the series a try? Is it something you’re interested in? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
