Last week’s Nintendo Direct showcased Yoshi’s Crafted World, launching next year in 2019.
When the latest Yoshi game was teased for Nintendo Switch back in 2017, not much was known about the game outside of the initial screenshots and trailer. However, that changed during last week’s Nintendo Direct when the game’s official title was revealed to be Yoshi’s Crafted World, launching next year in 2019.
The latest news of the upcoming title introduces players to a world made entirely out of crafting materials, such as fish made out of paper plates, houses made out of cardboard, and even Yoshi appears as a plush toy. However, these aren’t just for aesthetic changes. Though it looks like a standard 2D platformer, it was revealed players will be able to rotate the stage for an entirely new perspective on the world. Players will even be able to play entire stages completely backwards, and explore the “flip side” of the world with friends via local co-op.
Those eager for this game can anticipate new details about Yoshi’s Crafted World as we get closer to the game’s launch in Spring 2019 on Nintendo Switch.
