Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot, launching later this fall.
Rovio Entertainment and Resolution Games revealed the first details for their upcoming mixed reality game for the Magic Leap One Creator Edition, Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot, launching later this fall.
Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot places the slingshot right in players’ hands as they aim for characters and objects overlaid directly on top of their actual environments. The game contains all the classic Angry Birds beats, with a plethora of puzzles and star rankings, but with the added ability for players to walk around the level to aim from a better vantage point.
According to CEO at Rovio Entertainment CEO, Kati Levoranta, “We’re excited to expand the Angry Birds brand and universe to new and emerging platforms like Magic Leap, delivering fans a unique way to engage with their favorite characters. Resolution Games has done an incredible job bringing Angry Birds to life in a new experience that will let players see and feel what it’s like to battle the pigs like never before.”
Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingsot will release on Magic Leap later this autumn.
I have to admit, out of all the possible mixed reality titles, I did not anticipate to see Angry Birds as one of them. But what do you think of the announcement? Will you be looking for a way to try this for yourself? Let us know in the comments below!
