After a successful launch across PS4, Xbox One, and PC earlier this year, SEGA officially announced the Sega Mega Drive Classics is porting to Switch this year.
After a successful launch across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC earlier this year, SEGA officially announced in a press release that they will be launching the collection on Nintendo Switch later this winter.
Though no official date has been set, the official press release follows up from last week’s Nintendo Direct to announce the old and new features players can expect on the Switch version. Similar to the other ports, the game will arrive packed with “over 50 retro favourites to experience across every genre: arcade action, shooters, beat’m ups, puzzlers and hidden gems, with a raft of modern features.”
To enhance the collection, the retro games are modernized with the addition of features like achievements, mirror modes, and online multiplayer. Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch owners will get to enjoy a couple exclusive features, such as using the Joy-Cons independently, and share the experience with friends and family via split-screen coop.
