Originally released on Nintendo 3DS, the adorable Monster Hunter Stories is now available on Android and iOS devices.
The game is a spinoff of the Monster Hunter franchise, pulling in light Pokemon elements, and transforming the game into a turn-based RPG rather than the standard action game series’ fans are familiar with. The game starts off in a remote village where people create bonds with monsters, instead of hunting them. Players will become a Monster Rider, using Kinship Stones to form friendships with monsters, as they explore a vast world.
Features to expect in the mobile game include:
- Recruit countless Monsties! – Monsties, and the bonds you form with them, are the backbone of your adventure. Explore vast environments and dungeons to find monster dens, and bring back the eggs you find to hatch new Monsties!
- Fight with your Monsties in Network Battles! – Take your hero and the Monsties you’ve raised into battles with other Riders! Build a team of your favorites to challenge other players.
- New features for the smartphone version! – New improvements include beautiful high-resolution graphics, improved user interface, and a new auto-save feature!
Monster Hunter Stories is available as two apps. MHST: The Adventure Begins is a demo version of the game, allowing players to explore the game for free, while the Monster Hunter World app offers players the complete game for a single price of $19.99.
