In preparation for Super Mario Party’s upcoming launch later this week, Nintendo announced they will be teaming up with Lunchables to “add a little more fun to kids’ lunch breaks.”

The collaboration will bring imagery to of the classic characters to select Lunchables packaging across the U.S. In addition, Lunchables confirmed they will be giving fans the opportunity to win special prize packs until the promotion ends in December. Every Super Mario Party branded Lunchables box contains a unique code for fans to win one of 500 of these prize packs via online sweepstakes.

When discussing the team-up event, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Doug Bowser stated that the “…partnership with Lunchables is another exciting way for us to expose even more people around the country to the world of Nintendo. This program is a perfect opportunity to kick off the celebration of Super Mario Party by combining the game’s love for unpredictable fun with Lunchables’ love of letting kids make their own fun with their favorite foods.”

If expanding Nintendo’s brand across the country sounds familiar, it’s most likely because we recently heard a similar statement during Nintendo’s current collaboration with Wendy’s Tailgate event.

Super Mario Party is the newest game in the long-running series, and the premiere entry on Nintendo Switch. Players will scramble to hit Dice Blocks, and strategize to earn more coins and stars then opponents. The game marks the first in the entry to include online multiplayer for select mini-games as well.
