As Nintendo continues preparing for the holiday season, the company has announced another cross-country event to lead into the November launch of Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! And Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! The tour kicked off this week in Los Angeles, featuring multi-platinum recording artist, actress, and self-proclaimed Pokemon fan, Jordin Sparks.

Similar to the current Ultimate Tailgating event, Pikachu- and Eevee-themed trucks will pop-up at select locations across the United States, providing fans the opportunity to demo the games. In addition, attendees will be treated to “fun photo opportunities” and “special giveaways.” The demo will feature the Poke Ball Plus accessory, allowing players to test the device firsthand. Current Pokemon GO players may also experience an increased frequency of Pikachu and Eevee sightings near these pop-up events.

The Pokemon: Let’s Go, Road Trip! Event will visit seven additional cities throughout the next two months, ending back at Nintendo NY for a major midnight launch celebration event the evening of November 15. For the trivia readers, one of the tour stops will be in Topeka, Kansas, the site used for the launch event of the original Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue games released on Game Boy 20 years ago.

According to Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing,”Pokemon games have always inspired a sense of adventure and community, and we’re excited to bring that to life with the Pokemon: Let’s Go, Road Trip! Whether someone is a longtime Pokemon fan or a budding Trainer, this new pair of games offers a vibrant region to explore, Trainers to battle and, of course, tons of Pokemon to catch.”

The Pokemon: Let’s Go, Road Trip! Will be arriving San Francisco as their next stop on October 6th, and those interested can catch the trucks when they arrive at the following locations:

TGC’s Thoughts: It’s great seeing Nintendo get so involved in these marketing partnerships this fall as they build up to these holiday releases. I am interested to see if these will continue moving forward, and hopefully we’ll get to see more exciting events
